About

In the mountains of central Idaho is a valley that was once summer cow pastures, with rivers that ran like veins, and bluebirds that would sing good morning to anyone who cared to listen.

This was the place where Landon Vance grew up running wild through the thick timber and would later learn that places like this would fuel his love for music, a skill he was born into due to a family of musicians.

After returning from his short time in the Navy on the east coast, he found the place he thought would never change had turned into a vacation destination for the country's elite. The cow pastures he grew up moving cows in, and the ranches he had participated in brandings with were on the cusp of development. Billionaires from in-state and out of state were driving up the cost of living for all the local people that lived in Valley County year round, whereas vacation homes sat empty 80% of the year. Multi million dollar summer homes were becoming a dime a dozen, great for all the local construction businesses, but not for local families.

After working with equipment operations, and pouring concrete with music on the side, he was able to put together his first studio EP, "Western Skies", released June 6, 2025, with the help of his younger brother, Dylan. A music ed major from University of Idaho, who also plays mandolin with Landon whenever he can, Dylan and Landon have been playing music together since before they can remember. Along with their buddy Cody Bloodsworth, a music ed major from U of I as well, who specializes in bass, they plan on releasing more originals written by Landon when summer 2026 rolls around.
